Martineztown Park
Community is an important part of maintaining a sustainable place. Essential to this projects success was the trusted relationship between the stakeholders: The Citizens Community of Martineztown, The City of Albuquerque, The Sisters of Charity, a local artist and the Landscape Architect, Jill Brown.
Contracted for $804,000 (within 3% of the construction estimate) this project accrued less than 1% in change orders. Project success is seen in its quality of design collaboration, construction, and management. The communities history is celebrated with a commemorative sculpture and a bronze relief that encircles the water feature.
Martineztown Park is a lively community park providing places for events, active play and passive meditation.
